1.About Faculty

TCU currently has a faculty of 1232, out of which 924 are full-time teachers. Among them, there are 129 professors, 308 associate professors (including people with other types of advanced professional titles). 292 teachers have Doctor’s Degree, while 434 have Master’s Degree. There is one “Yangtze Scholar” who is also winner of the National Excellent Young Scientists Fund and national candidate for “New Century Talents Project”. In addition, there are one Tianjin Distinguished Chair Professor, 7 Distinguished Expert for “Tianjin Thousand Talents Plan”, 4 Tianjin 131 innovative talent training project, 3 “Tianjin Teaching Masters” and 15 National Outstanding Contribution Young specialists who at the same time enjoy Government Special Allowance and 3 academicians of CAE (Chinese Academy of Engineering) under Bilateral Contractual Employment.

3.Recruitment objects and requirements

1) Distinguished professor of 1000-Talent Program at national or Tianjin Municipal level (please refer to http://www.1000plan.org to check the application conditions and related treatment);
2) Tianjin Municipal distinguished (chair) professor
Distinguished professor: doctor's degree; experience in teaching and scientific research; under the age of 45; assistant professor or above (or other equivalent positions) in high-level universities abroad; working for more than 9 months in the university every year within the duration of employment;
Distinguished Chair Professor: doctor's degree; experience in teaching and scientific research; under the age of 50; associate professor or above (or other equivalent positions) in high-level universities abroad; working for more than 3 months in the university every year within the duration of employment;
3) Excellent overseas returnee: outstanding research and teaching performance; university doctorate abroad; deputy senior or above; under the age of 40;
4) Outstanding doctoral graduates: university doctorate abroad; under the age of 35.
