TCU has signed MOU with 40 universities and institutions in 15 countries, and22 cooperation agreements with 15 universities from different countries. The undergraduate education project for engineering management in cooperation with VIA University College in Denmark has consecutively conducted enrollments since 2014. There are more than 800 long-term and short-term overseas students from 31 countries. Nearly 700 experts and scholars from overseas well-known universities have been carrying out academic activities in TCU.
TCU has also been granted 67 projects for international experts, and thus the university was listed as one of model units in Tianjin for the work of introducing overseas talents. TCU has supported over 300 teachers for scholarly exchange and communication. TCU has applied, together with Bialystok University of Technology and Cracow University of Technology of Poland, to Ministry of Education to establish the International School of Engineering, a Chinese foreign cooperatively-run institute. TCU has also participated in the construction of Punjab-Tianjin University of Technology in Pakistan, in conjunction with other two universities in Tianjin. TCU established a Joint Research Center for Protective Infrastructure Technology and Environmental Green Bio-process, in cooperation with University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, and has been included in the third batch of international scientific and technological cooperation bases in Tianjin.
