TCU has signed MOU with 42 universities and institutions in 17 countries, and has launched 25 cooperation programs with 16 foreign universities, including 16 joint educational programs, 3 short-term student exchange programs, 2teacher-training programs, 1 overseas educational program, 2 international joint research centers and 1 overseas teaching base. Among them, the undergraduate education project for engineering management with VIA UniversityCollege in Denmark has conducted enrollments for 7 years consecutively.The Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run educational institution jointly offered by Tianjin Chengjian University, Bialystok University of Technology and Cracow University of Technology of Poland --International Schoolof Engineering was officially established and has enrolled 229 students for the first intake. There are more than 1,100 long-term and short-term international students from 34 countries. Over 1000 experts and scholars from overseas well-known universities have been invited to carry out academic activities at TCU. TCU has hosted or organized 13 international conferences. TCU has also been granted 90 projects for international experts of Tianjin and characteristic projects of Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, and the university was listed as one of model units in Tianjin for the work of introducing overseas talents. TCU has supported nearly 500 teachers and students to visit overseas universities.
TCU has also participated in the construction of Punjab Tianjin University of Technology, with the other two universities of Tianjin. The Joint ResearchCenter for Protective Infrastructure Technology and Environmental Green Bioprocess, jointly established with University of Technology Sydney,Australia, has been in the third batch of international scientific and technological cooperation bases in Tianjin.
