Introduction
The School of Control and Mechanical Engineering was established in March 2012. It is a combination of electrical and mechanical disciplines of Tianjin Chengjian University.
Now, the School has one Tianjin Engineering Technology Center, 1 Tianjin teaching team, 1 Tianjin Virtual Simulation Experimental Center, and 2 Tianjin Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers (construction units), 3 school-level research institutes, and 28 off-campus internship bases.
In the past 5 years, the School has undertaken or participated in 3 national research projects, 5 provincial and ministerial education reform projects, and won 2 provincial and ministerial level teaching achievement awards, 21 provincial and ministerial research projects, 5 rewards of provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological projects, and 108 provincial and ministerial awards in the college competition.
Now 74 staffs are working in the School, which includes 6 professors, 19 associate professors, and 3 other associate seniors. Among them, 27 are doctors.
Cultivation Aim
With two main lines of control engineering and mechanical engineering, the School has built a teaching and research platform for engineering mod“Design of building electrical and intelligentsystems-mechanical system design-system and product processing andmanufacturing-system commissioning-construction”, which cultivates a large number of high-quality composite application talents for the new urbanization and urban modernization in China.

Discipline Characteristics
Combined with the disciplinary clusters of TCU, the School focuses on the needs of national and local urbanization and urban modernization. 4 stable research directions with distinctive characteristics have been formed through the inter-disciplines and the integration of technology and specific practice, namely mechanical dynamics and intelligent diagnostic technology, advanced manufacturing technology, non-destructive testing technology and modern design theory, method and technology.
International Cooperation
At present, the School has signed the 2+2 cooperative agreement with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University,Australia) on Electrical Engineering; 2+2 cooperative agreement with Swinburne University of Technology, (Australia) on mechanical engineering.
