Uzbekistan, officially the Republic of Uzbekistan, was one of the earliest countries to respond to China’s Belt and Road Initiative and is also one of the founding members of SCO. As the Belt and Road Initiative continues to advance, relations between the two countries have entered a new phase of rapid development. In 2024, the heads of state of both countries announced the development of an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for the new era, aiming to promote the building of a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future. The SCO Summit will be held in Tianjin this autumn. The delegation’s visit not only marked a new milestone in our university’s exchanges with Central Asian countries, but also opened a new chapter in bilateral educational cooperation. TCU will take this exchange with the delegation from Uzbekistan as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation with the Uzbekistani government, universities, and enterprises, promote the implementation of academic exchange and international student education programs, and build new paths for international industry-university-research collaboration, thus contributing to further consolidating the friendship between China and Uzbekistan and the building of a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future.
