On July 23rd, Prof. Song Shunfeng from University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), visited Tianjin Chengjian University (TCU). TCU President Wang Zhongliang and Vice President Yang Jing, warmly welcomed the guest. Director of International Cooperation Office and Dean of School of Economics and Management attended the meeting.

Wang Zhongliang extended a warm welcome to Prof. Song Shunfeng and expressed gratitude for his strong support for the cooperation between the two universities. He expressed hope that, based on the joint research projects already initiated, both universities could further expand the fields of cooperation, and build high-quality platforms for faculty and student exchange. Prof. Song Shunfeng reviewed the previous cooperation between the two universities and highly praised the educational achievements of TCU in recent years. He hoped to further expand inter school exchanges with TCU in the future, jointly carry out graduate joint training and high-level talent exchange, and organize various academic and scientific research activities.
UNR, founded in 1874, is a comprehensive public university that has been listed among the best colleges in the United States for 13 consecutive years. It is classified as an R1 research institution by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.
Prof. Song Shunfeng received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Irvine, and is currently a professor at UNR. He is also a Yangtze River Chaired Professor appointed by the Ministry of Education(MoE) and a distinguished professor in Tianjin. He is the deputy editor-in-chief of Social Science Journal and Chinese Economy, an editorial board member and guest editor-in-chief of China Economic Review, an editorial board member of Journal of Urban Management, and an overseas referee for the Yangtze River Scholars Program of MoE. His research interests include urban economics, transportation economics, and regional economics, etc. He has published over 100 academic papers in international English journals.

This visit provides a good opportunity for TCU and UNR to further deepen understanding and consensus, and expand cooperation and exchanges. In the future, TCU will continue to consolidate the cooperative relationship between the two universities, deepen international scientific research and academic cooperation, jointly explore new paths for international exchange and development, expand channels for faculty-student communication, making positive contributions to promoting Sino-U.S. scientific and educational cooperation and cultural exchanges.
