School of International Education was established, drawing on the teaching and research resources of TianjinChengjian University (TCU) and the international cooperation with partner universities.Based on the belief of multicultural education, featured with science andengineering majors as its characteristics, School of International Education has initiated international-cooperative programs and the programs forinternational students, attracting students mainly from countries along the Belt and Road and opening to the whole world. Up to now, School of International Education has formed an educational system of various types and levels, containing programs for undergraduate degrees and master degrees, and the short-term and long-term courses for Chinese language learning.

Every year, nearly 400 international students study in TCU, among whom students of degree programs account for 50%. The international students come from more than 33 countries, including Angola, Pakistan, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Cameroon,Liberia, Rwanda,Mali, Bangladesh,Nepal, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Yemen, Zambia, Sri Lanka, U.S.A., Indonesia,Mongolia, Russia, Ethiopia, Guinea, Botswana, Denmark and so on.

School of International Education attaches great importance to construction of disciplines and teaching system. Two undergraduate programs, civil engineering and Engineering management, are taught in English. In addition, the“3+1 Articulation Program”in Engineering management,cooperated with VIA University College of Denmark, has been approved by the Ministry of Education China. The courses, Theoretical Mechanics and College Physics, have been awarded as Tianjin Quality Courses Taught in Englishfor International Students.
