On September 18th, 2019, Professor Lech Dzienis, rector of the Bialystok University of Technology visited Tianjin Chengjian University. President, Professor Li Zhongxian, along with the representatives of the International Cooperation Office, the Academic Affairs Office, the Graduate Office, the School of Architecture, the School of Civil Engineering, and the School of Environmental and Municipal Engineeringof TCU,met with the guest and hosted a meeting to discuss the collaboration details.
The two sides reached a consensus on the International School of Engineering’s cooperation program jointly organized by our University and the Bialystok Universityof Technology and the Krakow University of Technology, and looked forward to the future development and prosperity.
Prior to the talk, Rector Dzienis, accompanied by President Li, visited the construction of the International School of Engineering. Rector Dzienis highly praised of the construction work and made valuable comments.
On the morning of September 20th, Rector Dzienis gave a lecture to the teachers and students of the School of Architecture, the School of Civil Engineering and the School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering, introducing the basic information of the Bialystok University of Technology, the cooperation programs, etc. During the lecture, Rector Dzienis actively interacted with the teachers and students of Tianjin Chengjian University.
Bialystok University of Technology,located in Bialystok, Poland, is the largest industrial university in northeastern Poland. It has the School of Architecture, the School of Computer Science, the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering, the School of Management, the School of Electrical Engineering, the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Environmental Management, etc.
In 2013, Bialystok Universityof Technology and our University signed a memorandum of cooperation.7 teachers and 3 students, sponsored by “Erasmusga” project, have participated in overseas exchange programs. Besides, 46 undergraduate students and 46 graduate students have studied at the Bialystok Universityof Technology through the “Civil Engineering Professional Cooperation Program Agreement”.
In May 2017, the signing ceremony of the International School of Engineering jointly organized by Tianjin Chengjian Univeristy, Bialystok University of Technology and Krakow University of Technology in Poland was held in the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
