On September 27th, Tianjin Chengjian University held a gala in the stadium to welcome the freshmen of year 2019 and celebrate the 70th anniversary of founding of People's Republic of China. Chairman SHI Qingwei, Vice-Chairman WANG Gang, representatives of the administrative offices and Schools as well as the Class 2019 watched the show. With the theme" Honor the 70th Birthday of People's Republic of China and Keep in Mind the Mission of New Era", the teachers and students celebrated the 70th anniversary through singing, dancing, poem recitation and other various ways.
The gala had four chapters, namely" Inheritance and Development over 100 years", “Days of Youth Flying”, "Future and Ambition of the Youth", and "Unregretful Youth& Powerful Country", , to show the determination and ambition of TCU students in the New Era, who remain true to the original aspiration and keep the mission firmly in mind, inheriting the spirit of May Fourth Movement.

The Gala kicked off with a dazzling opening dance. The Aerobics Association, the Art Club and the freshmen ignited the scene with wonderful singing and dancing performances. From "Time" to "Swordplay", students showed their talents, energy and vigorous vitality of the youth in the New Era. The dance "Meet the Qinghai-Tibet lpateau Again" performed by faculties showed ardent expectations and sincere wishes to the Class 2019. The dance "Big Sky" used gesture language to express deep and strong love to the Motherland. The chorus "Belt and Road, Connecting You and Me" performed by overseas students showed TCU's rapid development in internationalized education. The folk music and martial arts performed by the Art Club, Martial Arts Association and Cheerleading Club showed the profound and extensive Chinese traditional culture. The song "Calories" was welcomed by the young students. The dance "Watching Sunrise on the Plateau of Hope" ignited the exciting atmosphere with its dynamic and graceful performance. Music declamation "The Young China" with patriotic feelings, not only expressed the expectations to the freshmen, but also showed TCU's everlasting patriotism and genuine love to the Motherland. The song "Stay True to the Mission" sang out the patriotic feeling in the New Era, which also expressed the profound love to the Chinese Communist Party and the Motherland, and represented the conscientious, industrious and positive spirit of TCU's faculty.

During the Gala, all the students and teachers waved their national flags and sang the song "Ode to the Motherland". The large national flag was passed slowly in the hands of teachers and students, expressing the love and wishes to the Motherland.

In the end, all the teachers and students made an oath: "on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of New China, we swear that we will study hard, and work hard, to realize the Chinese Dream, the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation!"
