On June 14th, Professor Huu Hao NGO from University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia, visited Tianjin Chengjian University (TCU). TCU Vice President WANG Zhongliang met with the guest, Director and Dean of TCU International Cooperation Office and School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering attended the meeting.
WANG Zhongliang warmly welcomed Professor Huu Hao NGO and hoped the two universities could further deepen exchanges in the fields of scientific research cooperation, faculty and student exchange, etc, continuously improve the level of cooperation, and jointly cultivate high-quality talents in the future. Professor Huu Hao NGO reviewed previous cooperation between the two universities, and hoped the two universities could make the best of their featured disciplines to promote high-level scientific research cooperation and production-learning-research-application integration in areas including urban green, low-carbon and new energy development etc, and jointly facilitate ecological environmental protection and green economy development.
Established in 1843, UTS is a famous public research university in Australia, ranking 137th in 2023 QS World University Rankings. In March 2016,TCU signed MoU and established partnership with UTS. In July 2017, the two universities signed a cooperation agreement to jointly build the "International Joint Research Center for Protective Infrastructure and Environmental Green Bioprocess", which was approved as the third batch of Tianjin international science and technology cooperation bases.
Professor Huu Hao NGO is currently a professor of UTS, and member of the academic committee of the university. He is a world-renowned expert in wastewater treatment, water resource recycling technology and membrane technology etc. He has been elected as Fellow of International Water Association, Fellow of International Bioprocessing Association, and has been appointed as the chief editor of Biosource Technology, etc.
