In order to serve the national development strategy, coordinate to promote high-quality scientific and technological innovation, accelerate the integration of diversified educational resources, and promote the construction of "first-class" disciplines of Tianjin Chengjian University(TCU),TCU held an online meeting with Moscow State University of Civil Engineering(MGSU), Russia, to officially launch strategic cooperation between two universities on June 16th. TCU President BAI Haili and MGSU Rector Pavel Akimov signed an Agreement of Cooperation on behalf of the two universities. TCU Vice President CHEN Zhihua and MGSU Vice Rector Vera Galishnikova exchanged views on prospects for future cooperation between the two universities. Directors of International Cooperation Offices of the two universities attended the meeting to witness the important event.
TCU President BAI Haili stated that cooperation and exchanges in the field of education between China and Russia had been steadily moving forward and had yielded fruitful results. He mentioned TCU had been actively seeking to connect with high-quality overseas resources and continuously exploring cooperation with relevant Russian universities, jointly serving the "Belt and Road" construction. He emphasized MGSU was the first friendly partner in Russia in the history of TCU, which was of great importance to the international cooperation of TCU. President BAI hoped that the two universities could take full advantage of their featured disciplines to advance practical cooperation in the field of student and faculty exchanges, academic exchanges, and joint educational programs, etc.
MGSU Rector Pavel Akimov congratulated TCU on the 45th anniversary of its founding, and mentioned that it was a great honor for MGSU to establish partner relationship with TCU. Rector Pavel Akimov emphasized his confidence with future cooperation between the two universities aimed at dynamic development, progressive growth and the benefit of international education and science of two countries.
TCU Vice President CHEN Zhihua and MGSU Vice Rector Vera Galishnikova respectively introduced the international exchanges of the two universities. They both expressed their hope that the two universities could explore various forms of cooperation projects based on the Agreement of Cooperation, to actively promote two-way flow of students and high-level talents exchange, and continuously deepen the partnership.

The university is the leading civil engineering university in Russia and was bestowed with the title of "National ResearchUniversity".
