
On March 27th, Elsevier officially released the Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list for the year 2023. Professor Chen Zhihua, Vice President of Tianjin Chengjian University(TCU), remains on the list and has been on the list for three consecutive years since 2021.
It is reported that a total of 5,801 people were listed this time, coming from 496 universities, enterprises and scientific research institutions, covering 84 first-level disciplines in 10 fields of the Chinese Ministry of Education. The list uses Scopus, the citation and indexing database from the world's leading information analysis company--Elsevier, as its statistical source, and adopts the method developed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. It systematically showcases the current distribution of talents in China's scientific research field as well as top talents in key technical research and various key fields, reflecting not only excellent research directions and methods, but also the important embodiment of the subject strength and academic influence of universities/ institutions.

Up to now, Professor Chen Zhihua has 548 articles included in the Scopus database, cited by 3,684 papers, with 492 co-authors, demonstrating his significant academic influence in the field of civil engineering. The selection marks another solid step taken by TCU in the process of building a prestigious university.
