Recently, the academic committee meeting of the Yellow River Delta Ecological Environment Key Laboratory of Shandong Province cum the unveiling ceremony of the Yellow River Delta Ecological Environment Research Institute was held at Shandong University of Aeronautics. Professor Wang Zhongliang, Vice President of Tianjin Chengjian University, was invited to attend the meeting and was appointed as a member of the academic committee.

It is acknowledged that the Yellow River Delta Ecological Environment Key Laboratory adheres to the integration of knowledge technological and regional innovation. It focuses on innovative basic research and applied technology development to address ecological and environmental problems arising from the economic and social development of Shandong Province and the Yellow River Delta. It continues to exert efforts in the scientific development and utilization of resources and sustainable management of the ecosystem in the Yellow River Delta, actively integrates with, connects, and serves major national strategies related to the Yellow River. On the basis of major needs of economic and social development, the key laboratory focuses on the cutting-edge academic research with clear target and advantages, yielding a batch of forward-looking and highly applicable research results, contributing wisdom and strength to the construction of the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development pilot zone in Shandong Province, as well as to the dissemination of the Yellow River civilization and to serving major national strategies related to the Yellow River.

Over the years, relying on his solid theoretical foundation and rich practical experience, Professor Wang Zhongliang has been committed to the study on water environment and green ecological environment. He has been contributing his youth and passion to feeling the “pulse” of the rivers and lakes and wetlands of our motherland, writing scientific research papers on the mountains and rivers of the motherland, and applying scientific and technological achievements to serving economic and social development. Professor Wang Zhongliang states that in the new journey of building a beautiful Tianjin and a beautiful China, he will continue to guard the beautiful mountains, rivers, and blue sky of our motherland with his wisdom and efforts.
