Continuing Collaboration, Starting a New Journey: Deeply Explore the Belt and Road to Open Up New Areas of Cooperation Between China and Poland

On June 21st, Tianjin Chengjian University (TCU) held inter school meetings and signing ceremonies with Bialystok University of Technology (BUT) and Cracow University of Technology(CUT) from Poland. The three universities unanimously agreed to renew the agreement for cooperatively-run institution of International School of Engineering (ISE) and reached consensus on exploring new fields of cooperation. Director of International Cooperation Office and Deans of School of Architecture, School of Civil Engineering, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering, School of Computer and Information Engineering, School of Control and Mechanical Engineering and ISE, attended the meeting and witnessed the signing ceremonies.

Wang Zhongliang stated that BUT and CUT were important international partners of TCU. Since 2014, the three universities had actively carried out cultural exchanges, faculty and student visits, and scientific research cooperation, deeply involved in the construction of Belt and Road, jointly established ISE, and steadily promoted the joint international talent training. He hoped that in the future, the three universities would further strengthen cooperation, realize resource complementarity and integration, collaboratively promote technological innovation, and thus elevating the high-quality cooperation among the three universities to a new level.

  

 Andrzej SZARATA, Rector of CUT, stated that TCU and CUT had achieved good results in previous cooperation. Over the years, the two universities had worked together to cultivate a group of innovative talents with international perspectives in the field of engineering technology. Moving forward, he hoped that the two universities could continue to promote extensive and in-depth international exchanges and cooperation, jointly build research platforms, expand double master's degree programs in related fields, and create new prospects for cooperation.

  

 Katarzyna Zabielska-Adamska, the representative of Rector of BUT, stated that the successful holding of the first graduation ceremony of the ISE was an important achievement of the cooperation among the three universities and served as the  foundation for the continuation of ISE. Taking it as an opportunity, she hoped to continuously expand the deep integration of multiple disciplines and fields between the two universities, as well as the sustainable development of international exchanges and cooperation.

Later on, the three universities jointly renewed the agreement of ISE and signed a letter of intent to expand the joint master's programs in related fields, marking a new chapter of cooperation among the three universities.

 The visit of the delegations from two Polish universities to attend the first graduation ceremony of ISE, engaging in academic exchanges, holding meetings with TCU to sign relevant cooperation agreements and letter of intent is another milestone of the cooperation among the three universities. In the future, the three universities will take this visit as an opportunity to further strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, build a high-level academic mutual learning platform, deepen cultural exchanges between faculty and students of China and Poland, promote the deep integration of advanced educational concepts between the two countries, improve the quality of education and international talent cultivation, and promote the sustainable and high-quality development of cooperation among the three universities, striving to jointly create a new model of international education cooperation between Poland and China .
