Introduction
School of Science, founded in March 2012, is composed of 6 departments, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, CAD and Engineering drawing division, Physics laboratory center and Chemistry laboratory center, and undertakes the theory teaching and practice teaching work for students on mathematics, physical, chemistry and engineering graphics.
Up to now, the School of Science has 3 undergraduate programs( Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics and Mathematics and Applied Mathematics), and2 graduate programs, namely Chemistry (first-level discipline) and Environmental Materials and Technology (second discipline).
School of Science has 99 faculties including 92 full-time faculties, 8 professors and 23 associate professors. Among the full-time faculties, 52 have the doctorates.
Cultivation Aim
1. To cultivatecompound application talents with high sense of social responsibility, good scientific and cultural literacy.
2. To cultivate talents with systematic and solidly ability of chemical and chemical engineering, basic knowledge of physics and basic theory and experimental skills, and good mathematical literacy, basic knowledge and theoretical methods in applied mathematics, mathematical modeling, computer technology.
3. To cultivate high-level application-oriented talents to meet the needs of social development and economic construction, such as fine chemistry and chemical industry, environmental conservation, material science, sensor technology and application, engineering modeling and computing, and software development.

Discipline Characteristics
1. Chemistry plays an important role in the development of discipline construction in Tianjin Chengjian University, and it focus on the intersection with environment, materials, civil engineering and other disciplines.
2. Environmental Materials and Technologyis the secondary discipline composed of environment, materials, chemistry, physics and other related fields, and it aims to utilize the basic theory and knowledge of advanced materials to explore and solve the problems in the field of environmental protection, such as the treatment of refractory pollutants and the advanced detection technology of environmental pollutants.
Employment
In recent three years, the employment rate of the School is above 90%. Many students have successfully pursued their further education in the famous universities home and abroad.
